Paris, France – one of my most favourite cities in the world! They call it the romantic city – with camera in hand and wanderlust in my veins; around every street corner I felt an emotional connection to this city.
Exploring an abandoned roller skating rink in Red Hills, Queensland. The Skate Arena had been up and running since the 1920’s until it was destroyed by fire in 2002. Since then what remains of the roof is collapsing, weeds are climbing through the remains and it appears to have seen it’s fair share of graffiti artists.
The 6 June saw the Ballina Shire local community coming out to the Annual Lennox Head Community Tree Planting Day. An event held near World Environment Day to return the littoral rainforest on the Lennox headland. The event is run by Ballina Shire Council and GeoLINK, with a delicious sausage sizzle supplied by the Lions Club. It was great to see the community getting involved to plant over 1000 trees.
There’s no place in the world like Nimbin, and the MardiGrass festival is a weekend not to be forgotten (although, I’m sure many do). MardiGrass is a cannabis law reform rally held annually on the first weekend of May. Their mission… “To bring about change by the most entertaining means possible”
